Steps for Installing Office 365 Applications
1. Uninstall existing Microsoft Office Applications
Windows 10 Steps
- Close out of all Office applications
- Search Uninstall a Program
- Find the Microsoft Office 2016 install
- Uninstall it
- If required, restart the computer (it most likely doesn’t)
Windows 7 steps
- Close out of all Office applications
- Go to Programs and Features and Uninstall a Program
- Find the Microsoft Office 2016 install
- Uninstall it
- If required, restart the computer (most times it does not require a restart)
2. Install Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Navigate to portal.office.com and sign in using your Microsoft email and password.
- Click Install Office dropdown on the top right and select Office 365 Apps
- Run the installer, this may take 5-15 minutes. (It also may look like it is frozen/hung, just leave it if it does, it will eventually finish)
3. Sign in to Microsoft Office applications to activate your license
- Open Outlook
- A popup should ask for you to accept a license and require you to sign in. Enter your email address and password.
- Accept the license
